General Information

Pool Season is off to a good start.  Please be sure to wear your pool tags and not allow others in the gate.  So far we have not had any damage to the restrooms, but did have the knob broken on the gate and we had someone leave the shower running over by the water fountains.  Fairly mild items compared to years past.

 

The funding has been secured for the barriers needed at the end of the unfinished streets.  The city will be doing the installation and the project should be complete  in 60 to 90 days.

 

A bike rack for the playground/pool area has been requested by the kids in the HOA.  We will see how the money looks as we get through summer.

 

We are looking in to lighting for the playground.  Exploring the option of using solar power in a light post form.  They are somewhat more expensive up front but save money in the long run.

 

In the pool area, we are still researching shade and picnic tables with shade.  This may be one of our larger projects for 2011.  There have been several suggestions regarding modifications to the entire pool area.

 

We are still maintaining a “to do list” for the HOA.  We are making good progress but know there things left to be done.  The iron fence painting is coming along.  All that is left of that project is the fencing along the canal from Willow Drive up to just south of the damn.  The heat has slowed things down, but it will get completed soon. 

The cement toppers on some of our stone post along the canal have deteriorated and we are looking at what is involved in repairing the ones we can and replacing others. 

So, now that many of our issues have been repaired, maintaining things should become easier.
